Los Angeles, CA – August 2025 — Prom Night, a sharp and heartfelt comedy short written, directed, and co-edited by Canadian filmmaker Samantha MacAdam, has been named a winner of the Stage 32 Short Film Program and will screen live at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood as part of the 2025 HollyShorts Film Festival.
Starring beloved Canadian comedians Gerry Dee, Frank Spadone, and Marty Adams, Prom Night is a bold, laugh-out-loud exploration of parenting, chaos, and unexpected connection — packed into a tight, punchy runtime.
This recognition marks a major milestone for MacAdam, who has been quietly developing the project’s larger feature version. With the timing now aligning, the live Hollywood premiere serves as both a celebration and a launchpad.

Currently in development as a full-length feature, Harriet Jones blends psychological horror, generational trauma, and a gripping female-driven narrative that lingers long after the credits roll.
